Studio Fandam is a creative design studio founded by Handan Akyürek, an architect and illustrator with a diverse background in spatial design and visual storytelling. We view design as an interactive playground — a space where ideas, people, mediums, and platforms converge, offering infinite possibilities.
Rather than applying a fixed workflow to every project, we tailor and reorganize our tools to match each task. This flexibility is at the heart of our creative process, allowing us to stay curious, experimental, and responsive.
We embrace both analog and digital methods, blending architectural thinking with illustration, research, and making. Each project becomes a dialogue, shaped by its context, the people involved, and the questions it raises. We aim to create meaningful and imaginative outcomes that reflect the unique conditions from which they emerge.

Handan Akyürek ,Msc Architect, Founder
Handan graduated from Yıldız Technical University architectural department in 2015. After working for several years as an architect, she started her master's studies at the Middle East Technical University Department of Building Science in 2019.
Besides her master's studies, she worked as an architectural intern in Helsinki, Finland, and as a construction manager in Malta. In 2023, she defended her thesis titled ''Following user traces in urban context: Stigmergic approach and a machine learning application.''
