A ceramic design inspired by transmission between neurons

Contact transforms both the one who makes contact and the one who is contacted, shifting them from their previous states into a different condition. Contact alters, leaves lasting traces, and brings experience. It is the way for what exists to discover what is different from itself. Contact is an exchange; it disrupts balances and establishes new norms.

In contact where there is no physical interaction, a void forms between the entities involved. This void then becomes an interface that carries the elements activating contact. Just like neurotransmitters released into the synaptic gap to stimulate another neuron, these signals find their way through the empty space and create an effect on the receiving neuron. The secretion deforms the surface area, carving indentations to penetrate within, generating new topologies.

Inspired by this idea, in a universe where physical contact is impossible, the stimuli that are the subject of contact have been abstracted and transformed into patterns by being released into the void, reaching those who long for contact.
