Studio Fandam is a design studio founded by Handan Akyürek, an architect and illustrator with several years of experience in the field. We perceive the design practice as an interactive playground where all the actors, mediums, and platforms find their place, with infinite possibilities based on needs. We believe every design task is unique within its environment and requires a unique approach to create a desired and satisfactory outcome. Rather than applying a straightforward workflow for every task, we tailor and reorganize our tools and capabilities to create a unique workflow for each task, which is the main creative aspect of our studio.

Handan Akyürek, Msc Architect
Handan graduated from Yıldız Technical University architectural department in 2015. After working several years as an architect, she started her master's studies at the Middle East Technical University department of Building Science in 2019. Besides her master's study, she worked as an architectural intern in Helsinki, Finland, and as a construction manager at Malta. In 2013 she defended her thesis titled '' Following user traces in urban context: Stigmergic approach and a machine learning application. ''.
