Concept Design
Cube is a sculptural lighting object designed for a natural stone competition. Carved from solid stone, the design consists of three interlocking geometric segments that form a perfect cube when assembled. As the user begins to separate the pieces, a soft internal light gradually emerges from the seams, transforming the object from a static block into a dynamic, luminous form.
The light’s intensity can be adjusted manually through the spatial arrangement of the pieces, offering a tactile and intuitive user experience. With its clean geometry and quiet interplay between material and light, Cube proposes a meditative relationship between the user and the object.
By merging natural stone with minimal LED technology, the project explores the contrast between weight and glow, permanence and change.
